Combination of Boosted Tipranavir and Experimental PI TMC 125 Is Not Recommended 

Because of the significant and clinically relevant decrease of exposure to TMC 125 observed when TMC 125 and TPV/ritonavir (TPV/r) are co-administered, the combination of these drugs is not recommended. This conclusion is based on the results of a study presented at the 13^th CROI.

This study evaluated in HIV negative adults the pharmacokinetic interaction between TMC 125 and ritonavir-boosted tipranavir at steady state.
