Call for Late-breaker Abstracts for the 14th International Symposium on Hepatitis C Virus and Related Viruses (HCV 2007) in Glasgow, Scotland

Late-breakers at medical conferences are intended to enable the presentation of cutting-edge data that was not available at the time of the regular abstract submission deadline.

The 14th International Symposium on Hepatitis C Virus and Related Viruses (HCV 2007) will take place September 9-13, 2007, in Glasgow, Scotland. For information about the meeting, visit http://www.hcv2007.com/index.asp.

Although the regular abstract submission deadline for HCV 2007 passed in May, a small number of late-breaker abstracts will be accepted for oral or poster presentation at the conference. The number of accepted late-breakers will depend on the quality of abstracts submitted. The late-breaker abstracts will be reviewed and selected by the conference's Local Organising Committee.

The same submission rules apply for the late-breakers as for regular abstracts (see below for guidelines), but each presenting author may only present 1 late-breaker abstract at the conference.

Guidelines

The deadline for late breaker abstract submission is August 31, 2007. Abstracts will not be accepted after this date. Abstracts must be submitted by email to the conference secretariat (hcv2007@meetingmakers.co.uk). The text must not exceed 250 words and must be written in Arial font (10 point).

Notification of Acceptance or Rejection

Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the corresponding author by e-mail by September 4, 2007. Because of the proximity to the conference, authors will have 48 hours to confirm their participation before a back-up presentation is invited. Please note that only the corresponding author will receive mail concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing all co-authors of the status of the abstract.
