Digestive
Disease Week (DDW) 2008 Online Abstract Submissions Due December 1
Digestive
Disease Week is the world's largest educational forum for digestive disease academicians,
clinicians, and researchers. This year’s meeting will be held May 17-22,
2008 in San Diego, CA.
With
an expected attendance of 16,000 gastrointestinal professionals from around the
world, DDW 2008 will be the premier meeting for clinical education, networking,
and research, according to conference organizers.
The
4 sponsoring societies of DDW invite researchers to submit abstracts for presentation
at the DDW 2008 scientific sessions. The online abstract submission web site is
now open, and will close Saturday, December 1, 2007, at 9:00 pm ET.
New
Disclosure Requirements for DDW 2008
All authors in the abstract
author string are required to complete their own financial disclosure statement on
the DDW 2008 abstract submission site, either disclosing all financial relationships
with commercial interests or indicating
that none exist. Submitting authors will not be allowed to submit disclosures
on behalf of a co-author.
Abstracts missing co-author financial
disclosures will be in jeopardy of not being reviewed and involuntarily withdrawn
from DDW 2008.
Researchers may now log in to update their contact
information and complete their financial disclosures to ensure that
any abstracts they are associated with will not be in jeopardy of rejection.
