A
new webcast, "Women Living Positive: It's My Life," was posted on Boehringer
Ingelheim's Media Mosaic website at www.vodium.com
on April 8, 2008 and is available for viewing at any time, along with an accompanying
PowerPoint Presentation in English and Spanish.
The webcast features presentations
from a panel of specialists including Andrea Williams, whose story inspired the
HBO movie Life Support, and the Reverend Makeba D'Abreu, Director of Domestic
HIV Programs for The Balm in Gilead.
Featured topics include the unique
issues of women living with HIV, the role of faith-based organizations, and connecting
HIV positive women to care and support. The goal of the women's summit was to
empower women living with HIV, enabling them to play an active role in their care
and treatment.
