European Symposium on Patient Compliance and Persistence (ESPACOMP) Set for September 5, 2008 in Basel, Switzerland

The European Symposium on Patient Compliance and Persistence (ESPACOMP) will take place on September 5 in Basel, Switzerland. Below is the text of a letter of invitation from the meeting organizers:

Dear Colleague,

We are pleased to announce that the next European Symposium on PAtient COMpliance and Persistence (ESPACOMP) will be held in Basel, Switzerland on September 5, 2008.

Please book this date in your agenda as this symposium, now in its 13th year, is a major event in research on the clinical and economic consequences and origins of patient non-adherence to prescribed drug dosing regimens.

ESPACOMP has planned 5 sessions for 2008:

" Interventions designed to enhance patient adherence
" Impact of the organisation of health care on patient adherence
" Ongoing research and collaborative projects
" Methodology
" Practical applications

We welcome contributions from anyone wishing to present their latest adherence-related work at ESPACOMP 2008. Abstract submission deadline is June 1st, 2008.

As usual, the program and all the latest information on ESPACOMP 2008 can be found on our website, www.ESPACOMP.eu, which will be updated continuously in the build-up to the meeting.

Note that this year, ESPACOMP will take place in Basel (CH) just after the annual International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) meeting, www.fip.org/CONGRESS/basel08.

It is a unique opportunity to attend both meetings in a single location!

We look forward welcoming you in Basel.

Kind regards,
Sabrina De Geest
Rainer Düsing
