Updates to Adult and Adolescent Anti-HIV Treatment Guidelines
The
latest updates to the Guidelines
for the Use of Antiretroviral Agents in HIV-1-Infected Adults and Adolescents
have been released. The new version includes updated information on:
What
to start in antiretroviral-naïve patients
What
not to start
Laboratory
monitoring
Regimen
simplification
Therapeutic
drug monitoring
Antiretroviral
use in special populations
A
new recommendation ratings scheme
Changes
to the guidelines are summarized in the "What's New in the Document?"
section located at the front of the guidelines. The changes are also highlighted
in yellow throughout the text and tables. In
addition to the updated content, this revision was developed using a new format
in which the relevant tables and references for each section are incorporated
into the body of the document. Some larger tables are placed in an appendix at
the end of the document. The
updated guidelines are available for download from the Adult
and Adolescent Guidelines section of AIDSinfo. You can also order them by
