This graph shows the correlation between changes in insulin
and tPA levels.1
As you can see, the change in insulin area under the curve
(AUC) correlated significantly with changes in tPA antigen.
Decreases in tPA were strongly associated with decreases in
insulin after response to metformin therapy. This suggests that decreasing
insulin may improve the cardiovascular risk profile in patients with
fat redistribution and insulin resistance.
