• They also examined the incidence rate for specific drugs or drug combinations.1 In addition, they looked at the relative risk of these drug regimens compared to zidovudine and 3TC.

• An increased risk was found for d4T compared to regimens not containing this drug.

• The highest incidence risk for symptomatic hyperlactatemia occurred with the combination of d4T/ddI/3TC.
